About Our Board of Senior Advisors


  • Lou Brock. Mr. Brock is a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He and his wife Jackie are ordained ministers and considered St. Louis Treasures. Mr. Brock's 19-year Major League Baseball career was with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs baseball teams. He holds many World Series and baseball records including over 3,000 hits and over 900 stolen bases. Mr. Brock was voted one of the top 100 baseball players of the 20th century, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985. He was awarded the Horatio Alger Award in 2002 for his service to humanity after coming from humble origins. He has statues at Busch Stadium and Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. He has a star in the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

    Lou Brock was a math major at Southern University, and received honorary doctorates from Washington University (St. Louis), Missouri Valley College, and Southern University. He serves on many Boards and helps raise millions of dollars for charities, churches and foundations throughout America. He is President of the Lou Brock Group.


  • Mike Girou. Mr. Girou is a co-founder of DFW Broadband LLC. He has many years experience as successful entrepreneur in the high-technology arena. A former senior consultant and technology advisor to IBM, Texas Instruments, and several branches of the United States government, Mr. Girou has developed and sold several technology companies. Most recently, he has been Chairman of MT Systems Company, a Dallas software development company. Mr. Girou has biographical listings in Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in Science and Technology, has served on several international technical standards committees, and has published nearly two dozen books and research papers. He received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He serves on the Technology Advisory Panel for USA TODAY, and is a consultant to several government officials and C-level executives in Fortune 100 companies


  • Steve James. Mr. James retired from Accenture as Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board in 2004. In the five years preceding his retirement, as Chief Operating Officer he oversaw global operations, helped develop the company's strategy and participated in executing the IPO and transitioning to operating as a $12 Billion public company. After joining Accenture in 1968 and becoming a partner in 1979, Mr. James led the company's global insurance practice, working with clients in Europe, the Americas and Asia. He led the global Financial Services operating unit for five years and the global Energy, Utilities and Chemicals operating unit for one year prior to assuming the COO role.

    He is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and serves on several Boards.


  • Jim Keyes. Mr. Keyes is the Chairman and CEO of Blockbuster, Inc., the world's largest movie rental company. He previously was the CEO of 7-Eleven, Inc., where he led the world's largest convenience chain through thirty-six consecutive quarters of growth in same-store merchandise sales. He won the Horatio Alger Award for his rags-to-riches story that emphasized giving back to the community, and was recently inducted into the Dallas Business Hall of Fame. He has received many awards for his international accomplishments and his retailing expertise, and is a highly regarded speaker. Jim is an accomplished pilot, musician, and artist.

    Mr. Keyes received a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the College of Holy Cross, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He serves on a number of Boards of Directors.
